The Eduwork.Net project aims at building networks and partnerships of VET providers and the world of work, at regional, national and European level.

It builds capacity at grass root level for the effective implementation of national and European policies of work-based learning, apprenticeship and supports VET providers to organise VET students’ mobilities abroad.

Objectives

The general aim of Eduwork.Net is to strengthen cooperation between Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers’ associations and networks, established at regional, national and European level and stakeholder organisations of the labour market.

  • Main Goals:

    • Establish a network of VET providers and facilitate exchange of knowledge, feedback and experience of policy implementation; sharing of best practices on VET excellence.
    • Improve quality of VET provision and linkage with the needs of the labour market.
    • Enhance impact and relevance of VET provision for both learners and employers.
    • Support transnational mobility of VET students for work placements, implementing the European VET policies for transfer and recognition of learning outcomes and using ECVET

Target Group

The main target groups of this project are:

• VET providers of all levels in the involved countries
• Employers and companies
• Policy makers
• Experts and practitioners in VET (managers of VET institutions, teachers, trainers, administrative staff and mentors)

Impact

The project aims to increase outreach and quality of services, establish new structures, facilities and mechanisms and to enhancing transnational cooperation.

VET providers and SMEs will be reached outside the partnership and will benefit from capacity building, developing their internationalization and work-based mobilities.

Main Activities carried out by the Eduwork.Net partnership:

Transnational context study on work-based learning

  • Transnational Conference in Rome: “Improving Quality in Work-Based Learning”, as part of the European Vocational Skills Week 2020.
  • Regular partnership meetings to create a Network of Networks
  • Online learner survey designed to offer VET providers information for quality improvement to reflect the needs of learners
  • Free of charge webinars aimed to assist VET organizations in applying to Erasmus plus funding for mobility projects
  • Development of the Virtual Networking Space, an online platform for VET providers to engage with European mobility projects
  • Company information pack tool for VET providers to attract more companies to provide work-based learning and apprenticeships
